Abstract

The objective of the paper is to review the contribution of education in the process of sustainable and efficient economic growth. On the methodological level, a theoretical exploration will be advanced firstly to assess the importance of education in the development of economies and secondly, the specificities of the Moroccan education system will be relatively analyzed to dedicate the strengths and weaknesses. Despite notable progress, the Moroccan education system still suffers today from the lack of quality and performance acquired in the process of schooling and education despite its contribution to the improvement of economic performance confirmed in the theoretical phase.
